Case Study

Commercial Results in Tilapia

In multiple commercial evaluations with Regal Springs in Mexico, OceanFeed significantly reduced mortality and production variability during the tilapia grow-out phase, with the greatest absolute benefits observed where biological pressure was highest. These reductions in biological losses translated into a 17% improvement in economic feed conversion, while a short-term intervention-and-withdrawal evaluation showed mean daily mortality falling below control during supplementation and remaining around 40% lower for the first three days after withdrawal before converging by days 4–5.

Across multiple commercial trials, OceanFeed significantly reduced mortality during the most challenging parts of the Grow-Out phase in our tilapia production. While benefits were observed across our production systems, the greatest commercial value was realised where biological pressure ultimately proved to be highest.
